After working 5 years as personal stylists, we got fed up with the same problems.

We grew up in London and we spent ages shopping around but stumbling across the same issues: everything was ridiculously expensive, looked like fast fashion everyone else was wearing or felt appart after a few washes.

Working with clients made it even more obvious how hard it is to find quality, beautiful clothes that don’t cost a fortune or are unethically made.

Eventually we said: “that’s enough, let’s do it the right way”. We started Carter Couture as a passion project. Lovely pieces that hold up good and won’t break the bank.

The whole point is that we believe people shouldn't have to choose between looking gorgeous, paying fair prices and knowing that the clothes you wear weren't made exploiting someone.

It's taken us a while to find the right suppliers who share our values, but when customers tell us they've finally found what they've been looking for, it makes all the effort worth it.

We're not trying to reinvent fashion, just making it easier to find clothes that feel right in every way.
